How to Monetize Your Blog Effectively

How to best monetize your blog?
There are some internet marketing strategies that you could use to monetize your blog if your blog is already generating steady traffic. Blogs are the best way to get your opinions on the internet. How can you monetize your blog to effectively earn money for you? It is recommended for your blog content to relate to a consistent niche. For example if your blog is one on a hobby niche of wedding planning, you may rely on monetizing strategies such as Advertisement banners, AdSense advertising or Affiliate links that can relate to the wedding niche to generate a tidy income.
If you have a blog that educates on cooking recipes, you will find that it is of no use to have advertisement banners that advertises on learning to ride bicycles. What are the chances of your reader looking for a cooking recipe, having a sudden realization for wanting to realize their childhood dream of learning to ride a bike? Thus each time you place something on your blog consider whether it is able to help you monetize your blog effectively.
AdSense Advertising
AdSense advertising works best for blogs that are very niche specific. This is because it is difficult to control the type of advertisements that appear on your AdSense ads unless Google is able to crawl your website and decide that your blog relates only to a specific niche. If your blog is a personal diary type of blog that has no particular niche and you blog about your life experiences ranging from doing your nails at a manicure spa all the way to your nasty colleague who picks on you at work, Google will find difficulty in determining the best advertisements to appear on your blog.
Advertisement Banners
Advertisement banners are a great way to monetize niche blogs. This is because these banners can easily be place at an eye-catching area of your blog and no matter which page or post your reader is looking at, that banner can relate to the post. However, you should be careful not to stuff your page with too many advertisements. The advertisements must not be disruptive to the eye. Consumers are likely to become psychologically turned off once they see a page that is stuff with too many banners. Remember that it is all so easy for your reader to press the "back" or "X" button, so make the experience on your blog as enjoyable as possible to increase the chances of monetizing your blog.
The banners that you place can either be advertisements tagged with your affiliate link so that you will earn each time a sale is closed through your banner advertisement. The other type of banner can be a pay-per-click banner where you will earn each time someone clicks on the banner. Once your blog is able to generate enough traffic on a daily basis, you may even sell banner space and get paid just for placing the banner on your blog.
Affiliate Links
For blogs that has no particular niche, I recommend using affiliate links. You can choose to place affiliate links on specific posts that you have, thus making the affiliate link post relevant. For example, if you happen to have a blog post on a shopping spree that you recently went on. It is easy to recommend products you purchased during your spree and place the product affiliate link within the post. Giving testimonials and reviews produces the best results for affiliate links as it can provide a lot of credibility. Therefore if you have a blog that has no niche, you may consider affiliate links as they are a good way to monetize your blog.
